Kevin did his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. As an undergraduate has made contributions to renewable energy research. First being wind farm yaw optimization, a random search algorithm was created to maximize the production of power. In addition, he has also made contributions to the study of the efficiency of solar panels under everyday thermal heat generated from the sun.

He is currently a masters of engineering student at Cornell University in systems engineering. He hopes to learn more sophisticated optimization methods to better provide the industry with better ways of being energy efficient.
